Wall Opening Weeps
MTI Wall Opening Weeps™ (#WOW 9095): 0.024" (0.6 mm) thick high-impact polystyrene strip formed with 3/16" (4.8 mm) deep corrugations, bent into L-shape, 9" (229 mm) Leg - 2.5" (57 mm ) wide and 5" (127 mm) leg - 2.5" (57mm) wide. This system is installed behind thin veneer scratch coat and metal lath to create a system of tunnels and channels down behind and out of thin veneers at tops of wall openings (windows, doors, etc.), this weep system must be used in conjunction with MTI Sure Cavity™.

MTI Sure Cavity™ 0.024" (0.6 mm) thick high impact corrugated polystyrene strip formed with spunbonded polypropylene fabric (Flux, water flow rate, 200 gal/SF/min; ASTM D 4491- 99a) on one side with a 4" (102 mm) skirt on one edge.

Wall Opening Weeps™ WOW 9095 and Sure Cavity™ System
MTI’s Wall Opening Weeps and Sure Cavity work because they maintain a separation between the
cementitious materials used in these systems and the structural back-up walls. Sure Cavity creates a
drainage plane system that allows moisture that may enter these systems from the exterior and/or
condensation that may accumulate from the interior to travel downward to bottom of walls and exit.
Moisture that may bottom out on top of windows and doors will exit through Wall Opening Weeps.
