Floor Edging
0.024" (0.6 mm) thick high-impact polystyrene strip formed with 3/16" (4.8 mm) deep corrugations, bent into L-shape, 9" (229 mm) wide by 5" (127 mm) high, to fit on top of footing and below the edge of a slab on grade. The system shall form a control joint between slab and wall and serve as a thermal break between the slab and footing and/or foundation.

The Floor Edging/Control Cavity wall system will promote breathing and allow moisture to gravitate downward to a drain field/drain tile system.
Control Cavity™ (CC 4800)* and Floor Edging™(FE 8555) System
It works as a cavity weep detail in a furred-out,
below-grade poured wall system because it has vertical channels throughout the
wall system. The vertical channels allow any moisture that may get into the wall to
move down and out of the wall (both sides).
