Product Specifications

MTI Sure Cavity™ (SC 5016, SC 5032) are 0.024" (0.6 mm) thick high impact polystyrene strips and (SCMM 2516, SCMM 2532) are 0.020" (0.5 mm) thick high impact polystyrene strips. They are formed with corrugations and a spunbond polypropylene fabric on one side with a 4" (102 mm) skirt on one edge.

Sure Cavity™ works because it allows moisture to travel down to the weeps and out of the wall, continuously along the wall.

  • It separates masonry veneers from structural back up walls while creating a drainage plane system that allows moisture to travel down to weeps and out of walls.
  • It prevents bridging.
  • The spunbond polypropylene fabric holds mortar away from vertical moisture channels and weeps.
  • Easy to install.
